Job Description Planning and Delivery Lead Full Time Bristol We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning and Delivery Lead (PDL) to join us in Bristol and play a key role in our Defence Future Programmes business. As a PDL for Future Programmes, you’ll play an integral role within the Supply Chain team in the planning, delivery and controlling of schedules along with coordinating material requirements at suppliers. Ensuring a controlled flow for materials is timed to meet programme requirements. In this role you will get to be hands on in ensuring the department continues to deliver on customer expectations. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring timelines are met and materials are available to allow development schedules to be met. We are looking for someone who is receptive to change, deals with ambiguity and has strong communication and teamwork skills. You will operate as the “gearbox” between the external supply chain and our internal design teams. To ensure specified supplier delivery commitments are reflected in our systems and to be a key team player whilst being receptive to changes. To ensure the maintenance of component planning data, tooling registers and associated data that will manage demand and stock through the supply chain. Who we are looking for? They are the fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles Experience in manufacturing, procurement and contract management, preferably in an Aerospace environment or similar manufacturing engineering business. A good knowledge of SAP ERP systems, or equivalent & standard Microsoft tools. Ability to work in a challenging and pressured environment as well as quickly understanding the complex organisations, functions, supply chains, regulations and processes. First class communication, influencing and negotiating skills, both internally and externally, and at all business levels and be able to demonstrate commercial awareness. All flexible working options will be considered. We expect some on site presence in the Bristol office as well as some travel. Mostly nationally but on occasions some international.
