Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced cancer nurse to join the Oncology Team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. Based at Bronglais General Hospital, the successful post holder will support outpatients requiring systemic anti-cancer therapy in both Consultant Led and Nurse Led clinics. Main duties of the job You will be an integral part of the Oncology clinic and will support patients through contact in clinic alongside the medical team, nurse led clinics and through follow up outside of clinic times. You will also act as the Keyworker for patients who require treatment for metastatic Breast Cancer. Although this post will be based at Bronglais General Hospital, there will be opportunities for clinics to take place at other Healthcare sites within Ceredigion. e.g. Aberaeron Integrated Care Centre. This will be a challenging and rewarding opportunity to play a significant role in the care of patients requiring Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy. If you are not already an independent non-medical prescriber, you will be supported to complete this qualification within your first year in post.
