Unlock your passions at The Oak Veterinary Group
The Oak Veterinary Group is a group of four fantastic veterinary practices located in beautiful Pembrokeshire, surrounded by the most stunning coastal and countryside that Wales has to offer. You will be mainly based at our Haverfordwest branch but may also be required to work across all of our sites.
We are a team of 9 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Nurse, and 3 Animal Nursing Assistants. We also have a Practice Manager, Reception Co-ordinator, and Reception Support Team. We have an advanced practitioner in Small Animal Surgery who performs our advanced surgeries once weekly allowing the Vet Team to deal with orthopaedic work and complex soft tissue surgery in house.
One of our Vets is currently undertaking an Exotics Certificate, we are supporting a further Vet to potentially develop their surgical skills, and several of our Vet Team are able to perform acupuncture and alternative rehabilitation support. We would equally welcome and facilitate support for Junior Vets in conjunction with the IVC Graduate Scheme. We enjoy regular social events including our annual Team Building day in the summer and Christmas get-together and there are also other optional get-togethers all year round.
Our main small animal surgery in Haverfordwest offers surgery, dentistry, internal laboratory, ultrasound, radiography, and endoscopy. Our Fishguard branch has a unique facility Vet Led base offering our aquatic treadmill for hydrotherapy delivered by qualified hydrotherapy specialists including acupuncture. This is also where our rehab/physio team are based. We also have an internal laboratory, dentistry, and surgical facilities at this site with the use of laser in both sites.
