Position Overview
The Head Waiter plays a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional dining experience, maintaining the highest standards synonymous with a two Michelin star establishment. This position demands an experienced and charismatic individual who excels in leadership, service delivery, and guest engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership
o Lead, train, and inspire the front-of-house team to uphold the restaurants standards of service.
o Coordinate with other staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
o Mentor team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
2. Guest Service
o Provide personalized, attentive, and seamless service to every guest.
o Anticipate guest needs and handle any concerns promptly and professionally.
o Communicate the restaurants menu, wine list, and specials with thorough knowledge and passion.
3. Operational Excellence
o Manage table settings, seating plans, and reservations to optimize the guest experience.
o Supervise the mise en place and cleanliness of the dining area, ensuring a flawless ambiance.
o Assist in ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
4. Collaboration
o Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate the timely delivery of dishes.
o Liaise with the sommelier and beverage team to offer complementary pairing options.
o Communicate effectively with management, providing feedback for operational improvements.
5. Quality Assurance
o Uphold the standards required for maintaining the Michelin star rating.
o Regularly assess and enhance service procedures.
Qualifications
* Experience: Preferably in Michelin-starred or fine-dining restaurants.
* Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proficiency in managing high-pressure environments.
* Knowledge: In-depth understanding of fine dining service, wine pairings, and culinary terminology.
