Job summary The Practice Nurse team at Stanhope Mews West Surgery are responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to our 16000 patients. The role involves a mix of direct patient care, health promotion, chronic disease management, and administrative duties. The Nurses work as part of the wider practice team to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients. We are also the local lead for Asylum Seekers - providing support to over 100 residents of a local hotel. Our nursing team are a key part of this support. We are a training practice, and currently have three GP trainers and trainees. Most of our sessional GPs have trained with us, and have wished to stay. We embed a learning culture throughout. Administer vaccinations, including childhood immunisations, travel vaccines, and flu shots. Perform diagnostic tests, such as blood pressure monitoring, blood tests, and ECGs.
