Intermediate Quantity Surveyor – Public Sector & Justice Projects
Location: Manchester
An established and growing property consultancy is looking for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join its Manchester office, with a clear focus on public sector and Ministry of Justice projects.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on meaningful schemes across the justice, custodial, and wider government estate – including prisons, courts, and secure facilities. The consultancy has a strong pipeline of public sector work and is known for delivering technically complex and socially impactful projects across the UK.
The Role
Working alongside experienced Chartered professionals, you'll support the cost management of projects at various stages – from early cost planning and procurement through to delivery and final account. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of public sector schemes, with a particular emphasis on Ministry of Justice frameworks and secure environments.
This is a fantastic chance to deepen your knowledge of government-led construction projects, develop client-facing skills, and progress toward senior-level responsibilities.
What We're Looking For:
A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Around 2–5 years’ consultancy experience in a QS role.
Exposure to public sector or government frameworks is advantageous (e.g., MoJ, DfE, NHS, local authorities).
