Contract - Finance Master Data & Compliance Lead
At Honda, we embrace inclusion in our various policies. While our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half-hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00, providing that there is no business requirement.
While there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.
Role:
The Finance Master Data Management (MDM) and Compliance (Contractor) will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and security of Finance master data across the enterprise. This includes the development and execution of strategies for Finance master data management, the establishment of robust data governance policies, and the oversight of FPC MDM operations and compliance. This role is tasked with the delivery of technical & functional support specific to Master Data & Compliance across each tower, working alongside the Operational Delivery Leads (ODLs) & the Master Data & Compliance Lead to ensure seamless ongoing delivery within their designated areas.
Main Responsibilities:
* MDM Strategy Development: Formulate and maintain a comprehensive strategy for managing Finance master data across the organisation, pinpointing essential data elements and ensuring their accuracy and consistency.
* Data Governance Policy: Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards that align with the organisation's objectives and compliance requirements. Evaluate current practices for operational efficiency and future compliance, ensuring alignment with ODL & Finance Risk and Compliance initiatives.
* Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of data governance initiatives. Regularly report on data quality and governance performance, fostering continuous improvement in collaboration across Finance Operations and Finance and Procurement Centre (FPC) to enhance data management practices.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders across Finance and IT to understand data-related needs and challenges. Effectively communicate the value of data governance, securing support for governance initiatives.
* SAP and SaaS User Management: Oversee the administration, management, and maintenance of user roles and permissions within SAP and SaaS platforms, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and regulatory standards. Coordinate with the IT security team to uphold best practices in user access and security models. Provide training and support to end-users on navigating role changes and access issues. Assist in the integration of SaaS applications with existing enterprise systems, ensuring seamless user access management across platforms.

* Proven experience in Finance master Data Management and data governance.
* Strong understanding of SAP role management and SaaS user management.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to develop strategic plans and policies.
* Keen attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and security.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
* Experience in performance monitoring and reporting.
* Ability to work collaboratively across departments to solve complex issues.
