Role
Do you have a passion for teaching, learning, and helping others succeed in the field of Brickwork? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Part-Time Assessor. Our dynamic and forward-thinking College is seeking a motivated individual to deliver high-quality training and assessment on Brickwork Apprenticeships both on college sites and within the workplace.
As our Assessor in Brickwork, you will be responsible for working with a diverse group of learners and employers to deliver high-quality training and assessments. This is a truly rewarding role that offers you the chance to use your skills and experience to make a real difference in people's lives. You will have the opportunity to help learners and apprentices develop their professional skills and reach their full potential, while also enhancing their career prospects.
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload of learners and apprentices, ensuring that they are making progress and achieving their goals.

Key Responsibilities
* Assess Apprentices enrolled in Bricklayer programmes, as assigned by the line manager.
* Implement effective feedback and assessment systems to track learning and ensure progress.
* Operate within the Quality Assurance framework to maintain high standards.
* Manage specific courses or sections of courses, including administrative tasks and organisation.
* Contribute to curriculum innovation and development.
* Foster a professional learning environment, adhering to the College’s behaviour management processes.
* Continuously update expertise and skills to enhance assessing practices and improve learner outcomes.
* Record the progress of apprentices during both college and workplace sessions.
Essential Criteria
* Hold Assessor and/or verifier Awards or equivalent
* Possess sufficient breadth and/or depth of specialist knowledge in trade experience of brickwork
* Recent industry related experience relevant to the academic discipline
* Detailed knowledge of relevant course subject matter and examination and assessment requirements
* Ability to deliver high quality teaching/assessment and learning on Brickwork Apprenticeships
* Excellent communication skills.
* Experience in Apprenticeship delivery for Brickwork.
