Our client is a 4-star hotel with a good mix of business and leisure guests. During the week, the hotel caters for a number of conferences in its numerous meeting rooms which can accommodate up to 270 people. As the week goes on, trade becomes more leisure-oriented with people opting for spa breaks or visiting the nearby attractions.
The 100-seater restaurant can easily be turned around on a busy night and offers diners a selection of dishes from around the world. The 40-seater bar area also offers a selection of lighter meals and snacks. Weddings are also catered for here so there is always plenty to do.

What’s involved?
As an experienced Chef de Partie, you will work as part of a kitchen team of 6, preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a high standard. You will become familiar with the menu, ensuring all dishes are ready in a timely manner and have been prepared to the required company standards, using the recipes provided..
Reporting to the senior Chefs, you will have excellent communication skills and be able to work well under pressure, as this is a busy hotel which is often fully booked. You will also assist in the training of any junior chefs working with you, monitoring portion and wastage control to maintain profit margins.
