We need a Broadcast Services Coordinator to bring their skills to the Formula 1 team. Working together with hundreds of people, you will be at the heart of the sport, making every event unforgettable. In this role, you will coordinate the delivery of the International TV Compound facilities and operations for F1’s Rights Holding Broadcasters.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Plan the operation of F1’s Host TV Compound, from liaising with international broadcasters to ascertain their requirements, to engaging suppliers and designing layouts.
2. Manage the delivery of facilities and services in the TV Compound for F1’s accredited broadcasters at designated F1 Host events.
3. Oversee the delivery of the TV Compound by other Host Broadcasters where appropriate.
4. Work on site with freight providers and technical delivery partners to facilitate the smooth running of the Broadcasters’ logistical operation.
5. Maintain the TV Compound Health and Safety standards at all times.
6. Oversee the set up and running of the Commentary Booths at F1 Host events.
7. Coordinate the relationship between onsite broadcasters and other F1 departments where needed, such as Paddock Management or Production.
8. Assist with the preparation and issuing of all documentation pertaining to F1’s technical and logistical TV compound obligations at Formula 1 events, including the Host Broadcaster Operation Manual and the General Specification Manual.
9. Manage the annual budget process for the TV Compound and monitor the expenditure and income race-by-race.
10. Work closely with Circuit Engineering and new Circuits on the planning and provision of critical facilities for F1’s accredited broadcasters, including the TV Compound, Commentary Booths, antenna farms, cable routes, power etc.
Specification
1. Extensive experience working in live events and/or broadcast.
2. Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite.
3. The ability to resolve conflicts and operational difficulties in a calm and diplomatic manner.
4. Excellent attention to detail.
5. Fully conversant with H&S regulations as they pertain to temporary structures, plant operations, fire and electrical safety.
6. Good organisational skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
7. Confidence and ability to make key operational decisions independently.
8. Excellent people management skills.
9. Ability to be flexible in approach to work.
10. Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
11. High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
12. Ability to travel.
13. UK driving license with experience driving abroad.
