Salary circa £30,000 - £35,000 per Annum (FTE), Depending on Experience

The Role:
The Admin & Accounts Assistant is a newly created role, supporting both the Management Accountant as well as providing generalist administrative support within the office. The role involves a range of day-to-day financial and administrative functions across the company.
Available on a part-time basis, the Admin & Accounts Assistant will be required to work 22.5 - 30 hours per week, with a working arrangement which complements both parties. Whether that's working a reduced number of full days, or working reduced hours across the full week, there is flexibility as to how this looks.
Responsibilities:
The Admin & Accounts Assistant will support the Management Accountant & Commercial team with keeping records and financial ledgers on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities will include:
Finance & Commercial:
1. Input of data into the finance system, including purchase & sales orders, ensuring finance system is kept up to date daily.
2. Assist in ensuring Sales/ Purchase invoices are approved in accordance with correct business procedures.
3. Support in preparing financial reports and in the month-end management accounts.
4. Assist with financial processes such as new customer & supplier Checks, due diligence forms etc.
5. Perform Supplier Statement reconciliations, raising Sales Invoices, liaising with external parties to provide appropriate information in a timely manner.
6. Running various reports from the finance system & CRM systems and performing reconciliation tasks.
7. Ensure Internal Systems are kept up-to-date and internal procedures are followed, providing support to the commercial team where required.
8. Maintain detailed data records for suitable audit trail assessments.
General Administration:
1. General administration and office support.
2. Assist in ensuring accurate records are maintained, ensuring appropriate filing and secure storage (both physical copies & electronic).
3. Maintaining various mailboxes within the company, responding to queries where applicable.
4. Wider team support where required with ad-hoc tasks (marketing, commercial, leadership teams).
5. Assist in the preparation of document management for business auditing annual assessments.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
Essential:
1. Previous experience within a similar role, including accounts and administrative expertise.
2. Experience using accountancy packages.
3. Good standard of education; GCSE C or above.
4. Strong ICT skills; MS office, excellent working knowledge of Excel, with previous experience of Teams & SharePoint.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Confidence to propose changes and challenge current processes.
7. Strong organisation skills, with ability to multitask and ensure tasks are completed in an orderly manner.
8. Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
Desirable:
1. AAT Level 3 Diploma in accounting.
2. 2+ years in Business Administration
3. 2+ years in Finance and Accounts
