Seeking an experienced, fast paced all around cook with passion, ability to work quickly & efficiently with a knowledge of cooking techniques and equipment so as to ensure all foods are cooked to order and served promptly. Candidate must have excellent time management skill, attention to detail, schedule flexibility, food safety certification and have the ability to work as a team and take direction.
Responsibilities include:
1. Previous experience as a line cook, preferably in a fast-paced breakfast or lunch setting.
2. Ability to read and break down kitchen printer tickets & prioritize cooking order.
3. Embrace a collaborative team environment where every team member is a valuable cog.
4. Mastery of menu knowledge & all of its components.
5. Awareness of any food allergy that may correspond to any given menu item.
6. Ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately and that food is high quality presenting well.
7. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques.
8. Excellent time management skill to ensure efficiency of time and its associated costs.
9. Performing continual and end of day cleaning duties to ensure organization & cleanliness.
10. Ability to maintain control and even pace during increased periods of pressure.
11. Open availability to work mornings, afternoons, weekends and holidays when needed.
12. Serve Safe certified or understanding you must earn one.
