Our Housing Management team has over 30 years’ experience in delivering legal services to social housing providers and to private landlords. Our team is ranked in Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners guides.
Our highly successful Social Housing team is expanding, and we are looking to recruit a Salaried Partner to join us. Our team has gone from strength to strength over the last few years and is undergoing exponential growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is currently working in a senior position, with proven social housing and landlord & tenant litigation knowledge and experience. In addition, the candidate will bring strong business development and management skills to help grow and manage our successful and established team.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the head and our management team with all duties relating to the management of the housing team
* Managing own caseload of complex matters using our case management system
* Providing specialist advice on complex matters,
* Maintaining and building upon existing excellent client relationships
* Adhering to client service level agreements, and assisting with client contracts
* Generating ideas and developing strategies to grow the department
* Engaging in relevant business development activities and marketing of the department
* Networking for both the firm, and the department
* Actively working towards securing new clients
* Delivering training to existing, and prospective clients
* Consistently meeting financial targets both in terms of time and billing
* Assisting with managing the department’s budgets
* Training and supervising team members, undertaking file reviews and appraisals
* Deputising in the department Head’s absence
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Excellent leadership and managerial skills
* Strong technical skills and knowledge of housing law
* A high degree of business acumen
* Excellent problem solving, organisational and verbal/written communication skills
* Competent at using a case management system
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and targets
* Fully IT Literate
* Flexible attitude to timings to meet the business needs
* Qualified Solicitor, or Legal Executive with at least 8 years PQE gained working in housing law preferably with a landlord bias.
