The role: We are seeking a skilled Slow Sand Filter Technician to join our Surrey Production Team, dedicated to providing high-quality drinking water to our customers. Responsibilities:? This vital role involves maintaining and operating heavy machinery ensuring all slow sand filter maintenance is completed. You will also be required to complete basic site checks at treatment works, reservoirs and boosters. Operation of heavy plant machinery to complete tasks related to slow sand filter maintenance. Full driving licence, driving will be required between sites to complete basic maintenance and security checks. Ability to work to a high standard as part of a team and unsupervised The use of I.T systems for work management and completion. Previous experience with I.T based work systems would be an advantage but full training will be given. Good organisational skills, the ability to plan your assigned work and ensure all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard. Most of the work is outdoors you must be prepared to work in all weathers and carry out a range of manual tasks Essential Qualifications and experience required: The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to water quality, safety and operational efficiency. Previous experience operating plant machinery would be advantageous but full training will be given A full driving licence is required.
