Assistant Director of Strategy and Transformation
The strategy and transformation directorate has several vacancies for exciting new roles which will make a significant difference to the way the Trust provides services to the population of West Suffolk. We are looking for dynamic, forward-thinking, and motivated people to drive forward the Trust's ambitious transformation agenda.
We have vacancies in our Quality Improvement Team which will be leading the implementation of a Trust-wide approach to Continuous Quality Improvement, in our Transformation Team which will be leading the implementation of high-impact models of care, and our Business Management Team which will play a pivotal role in supporting our clinical divisions to provide high-quality and cost-efficient services.

Main duties of the job
The Assistant Director of Strategy and Transformation is a critical role in the Strategy and Transformation directorate with leadership of all work programmes undertaken by the business management, quality improvement, and transformation teams.
The role is crucial in supporting clinical divisions and corporate departments to successfully co-ordinate, drive, and embed sustainable change. The post holder will be a visible and motivated leader who is able to manage complex programmes and will ensure that appropriate governance, plans, and processes are in place to deliver the agreed portfolios of work.
The post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider directorate to ensure successful implementation of significant change programmes that demonstrate sound programme governance and drive a culture that supports staff to fully participate in transformation objectives.
The post holder will support the development of the Trust's corporate strategy 'First for the Future', corporate 'enabling' strategies, and ensure alignment with the West Suffolk Alliance Delivery Plan.

Lead the refresh of the Trust's corporate strategy 'First for the Future', ensuring that the process is inclusive of staff, patients, the public, and our key stakeholders.
Ensure the Trust's enabling strategies (e.g. digital, finance, workforce) are aligned and actively drive the delivery of the Trust's refreshed strategy.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Master's qualification in management or equivalent knowledge gained through experience.
* Qualification in portfolio, programme, or project management, or equivalent knowledge gained through experience.
* Qualification in change management methodology (e.g. Lean).
Experience
* Experience of working at a very senior level within a large and complex organisation.
* Evidence of collaborative working and effective strategic influencing of very senior stakeholders (i.e. executive level) across Integrated Care Systems (ICSs).
* Successful track record of delivering complex, high-value, high-impact, and strategic change in a large and complex environment.
* Thorough understanding and detailed knowledge of current health and social care policy and an appreciation of the implications of this on the delivery of the Trust's strategic objectives, delivery priorities, and engagement activities.
Skills
* Ability to identify risks, anticipate issues and create solutions and to resolve problems in relation to project or service delivery.
* Ability to understand and analyse a broad range of highly complex information quickly and making decisions where opinions differ/no obvious solution.
* Ability to develop, maintain and monitor information systems to support innovation initiatives.
* Able to demonstrate ability to lead and manage a team to achieve results and deliver projects on time and to target.
