To increase the profitability of shops through generation, efficient collection, distribution, and transfer of stock (donated and new goods). To be an ambassador for Octavia, supporting and endorsing the cultural aims of the organisation.
This role is seeking an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Movement (Donated, New Goods and General items)
* Carry out the transfer of goods between shop locations as directed by the Area Manager.
* Move out of season, excess stock and equipment to storage, ensuring effective stock flow throughout the year.
* Deliver stationery and promotional materials in a timely manner to shops.
* Support new shop openings, refurbishments, and shop closures in the movement and storage of stock and equipment.
Stock Generation (Donated Goods)
* Work with the Area Manager and shop teams to identify opportunities to generate quality donated goods, including from the general public, corporate partners, and local businesses.
* Provide reporting on stock generation activity on a regular basis.
* Ensure that a standard of excellence is maintained at all times with regards to customer service.
* Maximise opportunities for Gift Aid income and ask donors to sign up at the point of donating.
Health and Safety and Security
* Ensure the security of the vehicle, equipment, and stock at all times.
* Carry out all tasks in accordance with Octavia Health and Safety policies and procedures.
* Follow safe lifting and loading practices at all times.
* Adhere to the company vehicle policy, rules, and regulations.
* Ensure regular service/maintenance is carried out on the company vehicle and kept clean and tidy.
Administration
* Comply with Octavia policy in the completion and submission of documents relevant to the role e.g., accurate stock movement records for collections and deliveries.
* Use the technology available for reporting and communication.
Working with others
* Maintain regular communication with the Area Manager.
* Build and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with Octavia Housing staff, shop teams, and external supporters.
* Provide excellent customer service to all users of the service available to donors through house collections, collections from corporate businesses, customers, and shop teams.
* Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
* Support the effective sharing of resources, including vans and equipment as required.
Be willing to work additional hours and to perform any additional duties as and when required in the business; this may involve working some weekends.

Experience
* Considerable driving experience including spending long periods in a vehicle.
* Experience driving in a variety of conditions.
* Manual handling experience.
* Experience of completing paperwork.
Knowledge
* Full driving licence and a good driving record.

Benefits
The salary for the role is £23,933 per annum with up to 10% pension contribution.
