Nemesis Now is looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent. The role of Finance assistant is crucial to supporting the Finance Manager on all aspects of transactional finance, ensuring that the business’ financial position is up to date, accurate and there to serve both operational and financial needs throughout the year. While there are administrative tasks, this role is focussed on reconciling and managing financial data, ensuring accurate records are maintained and up to date. This is an exciting hands-on opportunity to work within a small finance team. You’ll love coming to work every day if you have the capacity to:- Be accountable for; Accounts receivable (reconciling customer ledgers and credit control) Accounts payable (reconciling ledgers and preparing payments) Banking and credit cards (multi-currency reconciliations accurately prepared) Exposure to other areas of balance sheet including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and stock, supporting the preparation of month end accounts. In addition, there will be opportunity and exposure to; Monthly preparation and reconciliation to trial balance level across a group of companies. Duty and import accounting exposure. Preparation of compliance reports in line with legislation, as well as internal data reports required by the wider management team. Support the finance manager ensuring that all deadlines are met. Ad-hoc, and support work (eg. supporting audit preparation/queries). You will have success here if your skills include; Previous experience of ERP and accounting systems (Navision/Business central desirable) Microsoft office, importantly excel and outlook. Confident communicator internally and externally. Working with multiple currencies Working with high data volumes in a small business environment Credit control experience (B2B). Working to trial balance level. Accounting qualification desirable but not essential. Previous experience working in a small, fast paced finance function.
