Role Overview: The Commercial Account Manager will assume a critical role in managing and expanding our footprint within our client portfolio. You will be responsible for strengthening existing relationships, comprehensively understanding client needs, and delivering solutions that align with their strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain robust relationships with our portfolio of existing clients which are principally mid-market scale (100-1,500 users), serving as their primary point of contact. Maintain regular communication and connection through all media to understand their business objectives and deliver tailored cyber security solutions that enhance account growth and referenceability. Business Development: Identify and capitalize on opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services to current clients to contribute to the firm’s growth strategy. Capacity to demonstrate the value of solutions through online presentations, on site meeting & service evaluations whilst managing client renewals and upselling with the associated contract negotiations. Consultative Selling: Collaborate with clients to assess their cyber security posture, providing informed insights on industry trends and recommending appropriate services that align with their strategic needs whilst acting as a trusted adviser throughout the organisation from c-suite to IT champions and individual contributors. Project Oversight: Partner closely with internal consultancy teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects and services. Monitor progress, address any issues, and guarantee client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Market Intelligence: Remain well-informed about industry developments, competitor offerings, and emerging cyber threats to provide strategic recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders. You will represent the company at industry events and evangelise through corporate messaging, demonstrate our unique value proposition and manage key competitive differentiators. Reporting and Analysis: Maintaining up-to-date and precise CRM data points for sales pipeline and retention reporting, you will prepare comprehensive reports on account performance, client feedback, and market trends. Utilize this data to inform strategic decisions and continuously improve service offerings. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including technical consultants and marketing, to ensure a unified approach to client engagement and service delivery. Qualifications: Proven experience in mid-market B2B account management or business development, ideally within the cyber security or IT consultancy sectors. Strong commercial acumen with experience of building business cases to support both customer and internal investment decisions. Strong understanding of cyber security principles, services, and industry best practices. Exceptional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to listen and respond effectively to client needs and concerns. A proactive and positive attitude with high personal drive and motivation alongside the highest levels of integrity with a polished executive presence and a diligent and professional approach to managing accounts and client relationships. Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on delivering results. Strong analytical skills with organisational and negotiation experience and a strategic mindset to identify and leverage opportunities for growth.
