Main duties of the job
Our team delivers high-quality evidence-based care to people to support their sexual health needs.
You'll be part of an enthusiastic and passionate team dedicated to keeping people in Kent and Medway safe and well, now and in later life, by providing contraception, treatment for sexually-transmitted infections, and advice and support to maintain healthy relationships.
You'll provide sound clinical judgement and leadership to support our team to safely deliver patient-centred care, and consistently monitor quality and progress in a challenging but rewarding environment.

Qualifications
Essential
* Nursing or midwifery qualification and registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Degree level or equivalent professional qualification
* Evidence of Specialist qualifications relevant to area of practice or willingness to work towards a Sexual Health qualification
* Mentor qualification
* Evidence of band 6 competencies using the Sexual Health Nurse Competency Framework or willingness to work towards
Desirable
* Working towards Master level study PTLLS/DTLLS, PGCE or Certificate in Education
* Documented evidence of NHIVNA competencies
* NMP or willing to work towards
* Clinical leadership, management or supervisory qualification
* DFSRH HIV Qualification

Experience
Essential
* Practical experience in managing health-related projects/complex caseloads
* Supporting others (mentor/educator/supervisor) experience
* Minimum of 18 months experience in working within a sexual health service or infectious disease service or acute medical experience or other relevant discipline
* Understand and experience the principles of partner notification for bacterial sexually transmitted infections
* Asymptomatic STI screening, testing, and management of symptomatic male and female patients

* Experience of leading and managing teams
* Experience with the use of Microsoft Office and a variety of IT packages (E-Pay/E-roster/TAPs/CIS)
