The role
As a Mechanical Transport Driver/Deputy Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Ensuring all vehicle faults are reported promptly.
Day-to-day, you’ll ensure full and complete Daily inspections are carried out when tasked or required. Any faults found are to be reported promptly to MT Control personnel using the correct documentation, as well as:
* Loading/unloading and restraint of loads.
* Deputise for the MT Supervisor when absent in accordance with training and guidance.
This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Digby.
Essential experience of the Mechanical Transport Driver/Deputy Supervisor:
* Familiar with Vehicle inspections
* Previous driving experience in Mechanical Transport and Logistics environment.
* Experience with Driving hours and Tachographs.
* Some form of previous leadership experience (can be non-work related)
Qualifications for the Mechanical Transport Driver/Deputy Supervisor:
* DCPC (Driver certificate of professional competency must already have or be willing to take the course before starting)
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS security clearance for this role.
