Humly is seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our network of schools and nurseries in Blackburn, supporting young children in their crucial early years of development. This full-time role provides an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality care and education within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Key Responsibilities
* Care and Education: Provide nurturing and stimulating care to promote children’s emotional, social, and cognitive development.
* Activity Planning: Create and deliver engaging activities aligned with the EYFS framework, ensuring they cater to individual developmental needs.
* Child Development Monitoring: Regularly observe and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records and reports for parents and caregivers.
* Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
* Parental Communication: Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers, sharing updates on their child’s progress and offering guidance when needed.
* Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
* Essential Qualifications: Relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent).
* A minimum of 6 months of UK experience working with young children.
Skills Required:
* Passion for Early Childhood Education: Genuine enthusiasm for fostering children’s growth and development.
* Organisational Skills: Ability to plan and implement structured activities effectively.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Adaptability: Flexibility to respond to the diverse needs of children in the nursery setting.
* Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with other practitioners to create a harmonious working environment.
* Knowledge of EYFS Framework: Strong understanding of the statutory requirements and best practices for early years education.
