Salary: £11.79 - £11.98 plus enhancements
Working Pattern: Part-time 24 hours per week
Enhancements: Weekend working - Time & a half, Bank Holidays - Double time & Night enhancement (8pm - 10pm shifts)

About Ball Tree Croft
We are a registered residential service providing person-centred care and support for up to 15 people over the age of 18 who have a range of learning disabilities. We also have a lovely, covered courtyard area for our residents enjoy.
We aim to enable every person to be engaged in their local community to the best of their ability. For some of the people we support, this could be through a programme of tailored support to build and develop them for day-to-day life skills on a one-to-one basis.

Key Skills

8. Ability to interpret information, such as service complaints, and then redirect them to the appropriate person to provide quick and accurate resolution.
9. Good communication and interpersonal skills in order to provide clear and concise advice and guidance to a range of people.
10. Ability to deal appropriately with expressive behaviour from the people we support, and respond sensitively to their families and carers.
11. Ability to build relationships with people from a wide variety of cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds.
12. Ability to work as part of a team completing shared tasks in order to deliver a service to others.
Qualifications /experience
13. Basic literacy and numeracy skills, in order to record and document activities in the provider support plans.
14. Basic understanding of the needs of the people we support and their rights as an individual.
15. Demonstrable successful experience of working as part of a team.
16. Knowledge of Health and Safety practice, First Aid and Fire procedure, Manual Handling - Desirable
17. NVQ 2/Diploma in Care or equivalent qualification - Desirable
18. Previous experience of working in a care setting and with people who have a disability or are vulnerable – Desirable
19. Previous experience of running group activities – Desirable
