Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
This role is primarily office-based, with some site work depending on workload and staffing needs. Key responsibilities include:
1. Preparing quotes and maintaining client relationships
2. Conducting Phase I Preliminary Risk Assessments
3. Producing Phase II Site Investigation Reports
4. Writing environmental and geotechnical reports (factual and interpretative)
5. Creating Conceptual Site Models (CSM) and contaminated land risk assessments
6. Developing remediation strategies and validation reports (for gas and land contamination)
7. Conducting Coal Mining Risk Assessments and Soakaway Reports
8. Scheduling soil testing for contamination and geotechnical analysis
9. Applying knowledge of investigation techniques with strong technical understanding
10. Mentoring junior staff and providing supervision
11. Managing projects effectively to meet deadlines
12. Collaborating within the team and working closely with clients, regulators, and stakeholders
13. Supervising site investigations, including soil and rock logging to British and European standards
14. Conducting soil sampling for environmental and geotechnical purposes
15. Performing environmental monitoring
16. Assisting with general office tasks as needed
