Job Title: Customs Coordinator

Role Summary:
The EPI UKI Customs Coordinator will be responsible for the execution of compliant customs and export control processes, ensuring that all import and export activities align with UK regulations and the UKCS Border Operating Model.
This role plays a key part in overseeing the movement of goods across borders, managing customs declarations, and supporting logistics operations to ensure regulatory adherence and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Within this position, your key tasks will be to:
• Ensure compliance with UK import/export regulations, including UK Customs laws, UKCS Border Operating Model, and export controls
• Oversee the movement of goods to and from the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS), ensuring adherence to the UKCS Border Operating Model
• Prepare and review vessel and helicopter manifests, ensuring all customs documentation is accurate and aligned with regulatory requirements
• Support suppliers in entering Declaration by Conduct (DbC) reference numbers in Kabal, ensuring Onshore Logistics coordinators have the necessary approvals to load/unload vessels and helicopters
• Where required, work closely with IT and ERP teams to support the implementation of a customs solution system into the company's ERP system, ensuring smooth integration with logistics and customs workflows
• Conduct self-audits on customs processes, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions
• Work closely with Logistics and Procurement to maintain compliance in supply chain operations
• Support voluntary disclosures, customs declarations, tariff classification, and valuation processes
• Act as a point of contact for UKCS customs related queries from internal teams and external stakeholders
• Keep up to date with regulatory changes, advising on necessary adjustments to compliance procedures
• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on customs compliance best practices
Critical Skills:
• Proven experience in UK Customs compliance, import/export regulations, and trade compliance, particularly related to the UKCS Border Operating Model
• Strong understanding of HMRC regulations, classification, valuation and origin rules
• Experience with customs software (e.g., CHIEF/CDS) and freight/logistics operations
• Knowledge of Kabel, Declaration by Conduct (DbC) processes, and ERP system integration for customs solutions
• Experience supporting or implementing customs-related digital solutions
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
