About the Project
Our esteemed client is seeking an experienced Planner to support a major transmission infrastructure project across mainland Scotland and the Isle of Skye. This project involves upgrading an existing 132kV overhead transmission line. The successful Planner will play a vital role in scheduling, monitoring progress, and supporting project delivery using Primavera P6 and other planning tools.

Key Responsibilities:
·Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6.
·Monitor project progress and update schedules accordingly.
·Support project teams by providing planning insights and reports.
·Work closely with stakeholders and contractors to align schedules with project objectives.
·Identify potential risks and assist in implementing mitigation strategies.
·Ensure compliance with UK energy regulations, environmental laws (Section 37), and Ofgem requirements.
·Support cost estimation, budgeting, and contract planning under NEC3/NEC4 frameworks.
·Utilise digital tools such as GIS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, BIM, and digital twin technology to enhance planning processes.
Required Skills & Experience:
·Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) methodology.
·Understanding of 132kV transmission lines, substations, grid connections, geotechnical, and environmental considerations.
·Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in overhead lines (OHL), cabling, or energy transmission.
·Knowledge of financial and contract planning, including procurement processes.
·Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and communicate effectively across project teams.
Additional Requirements:
·Experience in OHL, cabling, or broader infrastructure projects.
·No professional tickets required.
