Our team in Bristol currently has an opening for a Site Manager - Bristol.
About the role:
* Manage and lead all Operational and Quality activities at the Bristol Site, including management of the chemical storage within the warehouse, legal and regulatory compliance, and the transport and distribution of chemicals.
* Manage the site Quality system to maintain ISO 9001 and BRC accreditation.
* Review, update, and maintain Quality and Business manuals for Bristol.
* Ensure operational activities are carried out in a safe and cost-effective manner, in line with budget.
As the Site Manager, it is your responsibility to:
* Be responsible for the Safety Management System and approval of all site documents including procedures and inspections.
* Manage the contact/interface with all appropriate regulatory/professional bodies.
* Report to senior management on Near Misses, Misloads, and PSPI performance for the site.
* Work closely with the Transport Manager to ensure safe and efficient distribution of chemicals on the depot fleet.
* Act as the Permit to Work, SAP, and Legionella Responsible person.
* Identify site improvements - operational compliance/efficiency - and ensure these are communicated in a timely manner and included in the annual Capex plan.
* Create and implement agreed capex requirements in a timely, efficient manner including MoC requirements.
* Be responsible for the management and upkeep of the packaging fleet.
* Ensure out of hours emergency calls are dealt with effectively.
* Conduct non-conformance and complaint investigations.
* Control maintenance to the site in line with regulatory and legislative requirements.
* Authorize new site-specific food & active substances via site risk assessment including storage requirements.
* Control quality procedures, oversee document control, and implement the training plan and activities.
* Provide final sign off and oversight of outsourced activity under GDP scope & API customer verification.
* Oversee internal audits for food safety, QMS, and GDP activity.
* Maintain compliance and up-to-date knowledge of food safety & active substance GDP regulations & requirements, acting as the site's Designated Person for the safe storage of APIs.
* Undertake any reasonable tasks or duties assigned by your line manager from time to time, related to the effective and efficient performance of the job, provided they are within the post holder's skills and ability.
