We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Midwifery Manager to head our dedicated team, responsible for delivering exceptional antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care across multiple community settings, including our state-of-the-art birth centre. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will be an inspirational leader, possessing exceptional communication and compassionate leadership skills. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the high standard of midwifery care by leading a team that delivers holistic, evidence-based, and woman-centred care. Monitor daily staffing and skill mix to maintain equity of workload across the team. Involve women and their partners or relatives, where appropriate, in decisions regarding their care and well-being, as well as in service development initiatives. Allocate tasks and objectively assess team members' performance against established criteria and competencies. Ensure that individual performance reviews and personal development plans are completed for each team member. Provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement. Promote the public health role of midwives while enhancing both personal and team knowledge. Manage changes in clinical practice and service delivery within maternity services to meet the individualisedneeds of women and their families. Lead and support the team through transitions with resilience, drive, and professional integrity. Collaborate closely with the Lead Midwife for Community Services and other managers across the wider organisation.
