The Team: The Customer Education team at CI is instrumental in driving product adoption and enhancing the customer experience with engaging online courses and self-serve knowledge. Focused on building exceptional digital learning programs delivered through our world-class learning portal called The Learning Center, the team thrives on collaboration, innovation, and strategic alignment to empower our clients and employees alike.
Role Description: The Lead of Learning Design & Development plays a critical role in developing and executing the digital learning content strategy for our customers. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker with strong leadership and project management skills who can oversee a team of talented Learning Experience Designers and Content Developers. You will work alongside our Learning Portfolio Managers and be responsible for setting content development timelines, managing capacity, ensuring quality, and driving continuous improvement in our learning programs.
Responsibilities and Impact:
Content Strategy & Development:
* You will define and refine the digital learning content strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
* You will oversee the development of engaging and effective learning content across various modalities, including but not limited to; Interactive courses (eLearning), Videos, Microlearning modules, Knowledge Base articles, Virtual Instructor-Led Training sessions, Blended Learning, Journeys, Job aids and Assessments.
* You will seek new collaborations across the business and offer creative approaches to sourcing base content for learning material.
* You will explore and implement the use of AI-powered tools in content creation, such as AI-assisted writing, text to speech, personalized learning recommendations, and chatbots for customer support.
Project Management & Execution:
* You will develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
* You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* You will track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of learning programs and identify areas for improvement.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
* You will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Learning Experience Designers and Content Developers based in India.
* You will collaborate with content owners outside of Customer Education including Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales to ensure alignment and maximize the impact of customer education efforts.
Quality Assurance & Innovation:
* You will establish and maintain rigorous quality control processes for all learning content.
* You will conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure content accuracy, relevance, impact, and accessibility.
* You will stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in learning and development, and explore innovative approaches to customer education.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in instructional design and development, with a strong focus on digital learning.
* 2+ years of experience leading and managing a team of instructional designers or content developers.
* Proven experience in developing and executing successful learning strategies.
* Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in learning technologies and authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, WellSaid).
* Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and learning analytics.
* Understanding of how AI is transforming the education landscape, including personalized learning, adaptive learning platforms, and the use of AI in educational technology.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Passion for customer success and a strong desire to create engaging and effective learning experiences.

* Experience with agile methodologies.
* Experience with customer success platforms.
