VANRATH are delighted to be partnered with a local authority in Bangor who are currently recruiting a Capital Accountant to join their team. This is a long-term interim contract and is scheduled to run until at least March 2026, with potential for extension.
The Capital Accountant will be reporting to the Head of Finance for the provision of capital accounting services including contributing to the capital budgeting processes, report writing, fixed asset accounting & support project boards in the management of projects.

About you
7. Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA)
8. At least 1 years relevant capital accounting experience, including preparation of capital budgets
9. Experience of managing a treasury function
10. Strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel
11. Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
What you'll do
12. Preparation of the Capital budgets, with subsequent budgetary control reporting
13. Maintain finance business partnering support for directorates
14. Management of Treasury function
15. Provision of professional financial advice and information
16. Manage performance across the team
