Opportunity to progress your career and gain a qualification within hospitality About the role: Galgorm is currently home to 125 Hotel Guestrooms and 76 Lodging Accommodation units including Cottages, Log Cabins, Residencies, Shepherds Huts and Forest Dens. The Housekeeping Department prides itself on their excellent attention to detail, ensuring that all accommodation is prepared for our guests with the highest level of cleanliness and maintenance. The Housekeeping department consists of 100 employees, making it the Resort's largest department and the heart of the Accommodation operations team. Our management team structure is split into 3 sections - Rooms Division, Lodging Accommodation and Laundry, with all managers reporting to our Executive Housekeeping Manager. We are seeking to recruit a Full-Time Assistant Housekeeping Manager for our Lodging Accommodation team. Your job will be to support the Housekeeping Manager and help lead your designated team of Housekeepers, linen porters and supervisors. The main focus of this role is to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely fashion and rooms are ready for guests to check in. This is a very busy role that requires excellent time management, communication and multitasking skills. We are seeking someone with outstanding motivational skills who can get the best performance out of their team while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across our Resort and accommodation offerings. If you believe you are up for the challenge, then we would love to hear from you The Position: The main responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: Managing the daily activities of the housekeeping department, assigning tasks and work orders to team members and communicating daily targets and goals. Responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of Resort accommodation, including daily inspections of guest rooms. Working with management to ensure budgets and targets are met. Supervising, training, and developing new and existing staff. Assisting with orders, control and stock takes of housekeeping supplies. Assisting with payroll and staff rosters when required. Responding to HotSOS requests, our internal communications system, ensuring guest requests are responded to promptly. Overseeing lost property procedures and assisting guests with lost property enquiries. Assist in other housekeeping and/or laundry departments as and when required or assigned to by the Executive Housekeeping Manager. The Person: Applicants must: Have a minimum of 3 years experience working within a Housekeeping/Cleaning department Have at least 1 year of supervisory/management experience within a Housekeeping/Cleaning/Hospitality department. Have excellent ICT skills. Be able to demonstrate an ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team. Be performance-driven and focused on implementing a culture of excellent customer service through best-in-class cleanliness standards.
