The Product Development (PD) function within MSFS is the change & transformation think tank that collaborates with the fund services business to establish overall strategy and priorities for technology products and platforms. The current opening is for the Client Computing Solutions (CCS) Team, which develops tools to resolve complex business problems that are overwhelming and error-prone if handled manually by front-line colleagues.
The CCS Team seeks a candidate with skills in programming and databases, a keen interest in process optimization, and a structured approach to problem-solving. The business environment is complex, requiring deep analysis followed by end-to-end automation. We are seeking leaders who can enhance organizational performance by applying creativity and utilizing both familiar and new tools in the marketplace. The candidate’s responsibilities will span across almost all facets of MSFS, working with various groups on projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Liaise with executive management & business users across locations to understand/document business requirements, detail use cases & propose solution options.
2. Design & develop a solution that is flexible to incorporate changes and scalable.
3. End-to-end ownership of the tools built for client processes.
4. Envision scenarios and take steps to incorporate them into the solution.
5. Own deliverables across the automation journey to ensure use cases and scenarios are properly documented & analyzed.
6. Create & manage project plans, proactively call out risks & issues, report progress against the plan & track associated project benefits.
7. Create training plans & provide training to team members & users as needed.
8. Ability to wear multiple hats including but not limited to Business Analyst, Developer, Project Manager, Tester & Business User.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
* Relevant engineering or finance degree or equivalent certification such as CFA.
* Demonstrated programming skills in any one language; experience with VBA is a plus.
* Demonstrated interest and skills in technology and process management.
* Knowledge of databases and database concepts, with the ability to handle large datasets is a plus.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to take ownership & lead projects independently with minimal supervision.
* Ability to work as part of focused globally distributed teams in a complex matrix environment.
