Our client is a privately owned business that specialises in designing, developing, and manufacturing a range of engineering products, across a number of autonomously run companies.
Role Overview
With a view to growing this divisional business unit through enhanced manufacturing and business performance our client requires a Managing Director who will optimise revenue generation and profit performance.
A summary of main responsibilities include:
* Ensure the best health, safety and environmental standards are put in place throughout the business and continually maintain or improve these.
* Develop plans for the future delivery of sales growth, margin enhancement and improvements in operations, ensure that these plans are compatible with Group objectives.
* Analyse and critically evaluate the performance of all areas of accountability, propose and execute realistic, action orientated solutions to performance issues.
* Continually review existing market opportunities, territories and channels to market and optimise.
* Drive process efficiencies, reduce costs, improve customer experience, develop new products, increase sales and margin and structure and scale the organisation accordingly.
* Lead and set the pace for talent selection, development, engagement and performance within the senior team and throughout the organisation.
This is a 'hands-on' role where the Managing Director will be actively involved in the day to day management of business activity.
Education and Experience:
Required:
* Demonstrated profitable commercial growth preferably in complex engineered and manufactured product environment
* Strong background in manufacturing site leadership in an engineered product environment
* P&L responsibility in a sizeable organisation or division of a corporate group
* Created a Continuous Improvement culture
* Led transformational change programmes
* Able to demonstrate experience of facilitating relationships across multiple internal stakeholders
