PAY RATE: £25.25 Per hour

To plan and deliver excellent, quality accredited and non-accredited programmes that meets the individual needs of learners which enables them to achieve their goals and supports them to access further learning or employment opportunities.
The Community Learning and Skills Service (CLASS) delivers adult learning courses in venues across Slough and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
We are seeking experienced sessional/hourly paid tutors for the following roles:
1) Tutors who have experience of teaching math to parents.
2) Math tutors experienced in teaching learners with mild learning difficulties.
3) Tutors who have experience of delivering other skills courses such as FS English, Digital Skills, L1 award in Customer Service, L1 and L2 Teaching Assistants, L3 awards in Education and training, etc.
All roles may require travel to different venues across Slough and Maidenhead so access to a car would be an advantage.
Candidates should have a minimum of L3 teaching qualification and would ideally have experience of working with adult learners.
NO ONLINE TEACHING, NEED TO ATTEND SLOUGH ONE TO 3 TIMES A WEEK
Tutor Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver good quality learning programmes that are inspiring, take account of individual needs of learners and embed into the curriculum, where appropriate English, maths and ICT, safeguarding and Prevent, British values, equalities and diversity and health and well-being.
Undertake a range of initial and diagnostic assessments which informs the planning and delivery of teaching, learning and assessment.
In negotiation with learners set challenging, SMART targets that are incorporated within individual learning plans considering the differentiated needs of the learners.
Undertakes regular, documented reviews with learners which includes progress, achievement, and constructive feedback.
Ensure that all learners take part in an effective learner induction which results in learners understanding and being able to articulate key issues and if the need arises report any areas of concern to the appropriate people.
Keep accurate records including attendance, schemes of work, individual learning plans, evidence of achievement and end of course reviews.
Provide high quality IAG throughout the learning journey. To actively monitor, track and support learners with their employability needs.
When appropriate prepare learners for examinations and assist in internal quality assurance process to implement examination procedures including undertaking invigilation, marking of papers and assessment of portfolios.
Ensure qualifications and RARPA arrangements meet the needs of both learners and awarding bodies.
Take part in annual reviews, setting and reviewing of performance targets, participation in one to ones and willingness to undertake continuing professional development.
Undertake such additional duties as appropriate to the post, which may be required, including supporting the enrolment process, marketing and liaison work with the community, schools, and relevant organisations.
Tutor Requirements:
Significant experience in delivering high quality of teaching, learning and assessment considering different levels and needs relating to a wide range of people, particularly with groups which traditionally do not access learning or training.
Significant experience in the delivery of both accredited and non-accredited programmes in an adult education setting.
Knowledge of how to effectively embed into the curriculum; English, maths and ICT, safeguarding and prevent, British values, equality and diversity and health and well-being with a focus on preparing learners for further learning or employment opportunities.
Understanding of the issues surrounding; the use of initial assessment, setting targets, attendance, retention, achievement and recording progress in adult and community learning.
Diploma in teaching of adults in the further education sector (DTTLS level 5 qualification) or equivalent.
Degree level in specific subject area or equivalent (desirable)
English and math Level 2 or above.
Evidence of and commitment to undertaking on going continuing professional development.
ICT qualification e.g., ECDL or equivalent qualification (desirable).

Experience is required for this role, specifically in managing and motivating staff or mentoring, multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working, in partnership with relevant agencies to deliver integrated services to young people. Preferably would need experience with working with several cultures and faiths.
