The University is refreshing its strategy, and has set out an ambitious programme of change for the future, centred around financial stability, our academic offer, and our organisational agility.
To support our ambitions, we are embarking on an Operational Improvement Programme (OIP) to bring some of our core processes and systems up to date, improve efficiency, and ensure our students and staff continue to have the best possible experience.
The Procurement Team are a key enabler to deliver this programme by delivering best practice procurement outcomes. The procurement team are dedicated to supporting professional growth and continuous professional development.
The role
We are recruiting to 7 new posts, 4 Procurement Category Managers and 3 Procurement Category Specialists. All of the roles are fast paced and dynamic allowing for the successful candidates to work across the academic and professional services portfolios and across multiple areas of spend.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking to thrive and succeed within a challenging but rewarding environment. The new public sector procurement regulations set the foundations for procurement professionals and allow the amplification and delivery of increased commercial benefit, by fully utilising the new flexibilities written into the legislation.
A strong background of working within complex procurement regulations combined with technical procurement experience is required.
