The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an EMEA Architectural Market Business Development Manager for theCommercial Branding & Transportation Division, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
1. Better understanding Architectural Finishes (Di-Noc, Fasara, BWF) key market segments and the best way to market (access to market, key players etc.)
2. Re-shaping our channel structure to achieve a business revolution by specifying and selling our solutions to buildings faster
3. Not to clinging to old structures and thinking out of the box
4. Identifying untapped sales growth opportunities generated from new market trends, new potential customers, new needs and new potential way to market
5. Defining an end-to-end business strategy (from idea creation to plan definition to sales execution) leveraging a well-diversified and cross-functional team
6. Taking inspiration from current successful business model in some geographies and designing a new approach to win in not-enough penetrated geographies
7. Building long-lasting relationships with the main market players (i.e.: end users, architects, facility managers, energy saving consultants, installers, dealers, distributors, etc)
8. Building sales and marketing tools to facilitate our value proposition delivery
9. Increasing the level of market awareness about our solutions via specialized magazines, collaboration with KOLs, industry events, trade association collaborations, etc
10. Identifying the main trade-shows and industry event to generate awareness
11. Organizing customer events to build a stronger relationship (also in collaboration with dealers and channel partners)
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
12. Proven track record of business management including sales leadership
13. Strong business acumen
14. Project management skills and experience
15. Ability to lead through influence and to focus on relationship building
16. Experience in interpreting market research or market insights
17. In-country sales or marketing experience
18. Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver sales targets
19. Out-of-the box thinking / Outside-in approach
20. English language skills both verbal and written
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include
21. Past Business Development experience and classical marketing/sales experience
22. Knowledge of German language
23. Experience in strategic planning, marketing planning or business management
24. Understanding of technical applications in the Architectural finishing market
Job Specifics
25. Candidate location - Can be located in either Germany or the UK
26. Role location - Remote based, flexible within the country
27. Travel: May include up to 25% of travelling both domestic and international
