Finance at Cox Automotive Europe
Cox Automotive is organised across 5 solution sets each made up of different companies and brands. Our people work across a matrix organisation and the finance department sits in Corporate Services; a core support function across Europe. This enables the finance department to work closely together as a team, supporting the business in the most effective manner possible.
The finance team has responsibility for maintaining the financial records of the business, ensuring appropriate controls and governance measures are in place to minimise risk as well as providing in depth managing reporting and analytics to drive business decisions. The finance team work closely with Cox Automotive US to provide financial and management information as well as alignment of policies and controls.
Further, the Finance team is core to the delivery of strategic change, providing support and challenge through business partnering with all of the business units and functions in the group.
Objectives for the role:
* You will play a critical role in directly managing the pricing strategies and product financials within our technology and retail businesses.
* You will provide financial insights, analysis, and strategic guidance to drive business performance and support decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
* Pricing Strategy Development: Lead the development and implementation of pricing strategies for both technology and retail products. Conduct pricing analysis and competitive benchmarking to optimize pricing decisions.
* Financial Analysis & Reporting: Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to support pricing and product strategies. Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, costs, and profitability.
* Business Partnering: Collaborate with product teams to understand their financial needs and provide actionable insights. Act as a trusted advisor to support strategic initiatives and business planning.
* Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for pricing and product teams. Ensure accurate and timely financial projections and variance analysis.
* Performance Monitoring: Monitor financial performance against targets and KPIs. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
* Product Profitability: Analyze product profitability and provide recommendations to enhance product margins. Work with product teams to evaluate new product opportunities and business cases.
* Financial Controls: Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with company policies and procedures. Support internal and external audits as required.
* Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business. Communicate financial insights and recommendations effectively to non-financial audiences.
Skills & Experience:
* Education: Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) preferred.
* Experience: Proven experience in a finance business partnering role, ideally within technology environments. Direct experience in pricing and product finance is highly desirable.
* Skills: Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
* Technical Proficiency: Proficient in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems). Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
* Personal Attributes: Proactive, results-oriented, and able to work independently. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
