Job responsibilities Clinical Leadership 1 Act as a clinical role model for effective clinical leadership enabling and facilitating others to takeforward initiatives. 2 Attain continuous improvements to service provision by maintaining current/up to date knowledgeof best practice and by creating an environment of trust and respect. 3 Work collaboratively with other professional groups to maximise development opportunities andinterprofessional learning opportunities. 4 Maximise opportunities to share good practices and innovations with colleagues locally andnationally. 5 Represent the Trust on external professional groups and network with colleagues from otherorganisations as appropriate. Education and Development 1 Liaise with the Lead Nurse for Theatres, Theatre Managers and Clinical Facilitators to identify thedevelopment and training needs of nursing/midwifery staff healthcare support workers withindesignated clinical areas according to individual needs and service requirements. 2 Develop, implement and evaluate competency based training programmes and facilitate learningopportunities to meet the educational and skills development needs of nursing/ODP, healthcaresupport workers. 3 Facilitate and support the development and implementation of preceptorship programmes fornewly appointed staff.
