Job Overview You could be part of a dynamic & enthusiastic team as we provide pharmacy services to our units throughout Essex. The successful candidate would have knowledge and skills to undertake the mandatory units for an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Pharmacy Services. Full training and support will be provided for candidates who have not already undertaken this training. Previous experience of working in a hospital or community pharmacy would be an advantage, but not essential. The ability to travel across the EPUT Region is a necessity as part of this job role and therefore a driving license and own vehicle is preferred. The candidate will be expected to work within the Main Pharmacy in Chelmsford as part of a larger team or within our satellite pharmacies based at Basildon or Colchester as well as working independently at any of our other units throughout the EPUT region. Part of the Time to Care initiative will see the successful candidates working with the ward teams to provide a fully integrated service that will provide greater support to the nursing and clinical teams through effective medicines inventory management. Main duties of the job We have a total of 45 hours available and therefore we are looking for 2 or more successful applicants between which, this can be divided. We are happy to explore Full time, part time or any combination. Regular Hours are 09:00-17:30. Occasional rota hours of 07:30-16:00 To provide support services to the Pharmacy department including the ordering, receipt, storage and supply of pharmaceuticals and other stock items, and dispensing individual patient prescriptions. To participate as an active member of specific ward / unit / clinical teams, and support the safe and effective use of medicines. To contribute to the pharmacy service to specific wards / units / clinical teams. To dispense and supply medication from our satellite pharmacies under the supervision of a registered pharmacy professional. To work alongside our clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to provide integrated pharmaceutical care for service users in the Trust to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective use of medicines.
