Working on behalf of our client based in Flintshire. We are currently recruiting for a Electrical and Instrumentation Technician. Key Duties: Updating and managing electrical and instrumentation documentation. Providing specialized engineering support to manufacturing production lines, including the Biofuel Power Plant, Waste Wood Processing Plant, Effluent Treatment Plant, Tissue Machines, MRRF Recycling Facility, and associated support systems. Collaborating with the Automation team to respond to plant breakdowns, systematically diagnosing faults to restore equipment operation efficiently. Applying and expanding technical expertise to conduct root cause investigations, identify issues, and implement effective solutions. Assisting with the commissioning of both small-scale improvements and major projects, such as Biomass Treatment, CHP, and Low-Pressure Condensing Turbine systems. Performing routine weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly tasks, including instrument calibrations, visual inspections, electrical safety checks, fire system functionality tests, and periodic electrical safety inspections. Developing and maintaining onsite electrical procedures and risk assessments. What we are looking for in the successful candidate: Be able to interpret P&ID, electrical schematic and control loop diagrams Experience of AC inverter drives, fault finding, commissioning and programming Maintenance and calibration of instrumentation equipment Knowledge of PLC’s and DCS programming/modifications/improvements. Being a Self-starter and hard working with the ability to work as a team player and grow with the Business Ability to work in a changing environment with a flexible approach. Good knowledge and understanding of health and safety. You will have completed a 4 year Apprenticeship scheme and educated to HNC level or above in Electrical/ Electronic/ instrumentation or equivalent.
