Role Overview: This role involves: ✔ Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on train door systems ✔ Replacing and installing new door buttons and gaskets ✔ Ensuring all modifications are completed to industry and safety standards ✔ Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and engineering instructions ✔ Using hand tools and test equipment for modifications and repairs ✔ Maintaining accurate records of work completed What We’re Looking For: ✔ NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering ✔ Previous experience in rolling stock maintenance or electrical modifications ✔ Ability to read and understand electrical schematics ✔ Experience with train door mechanisms is highly desirable ✔ Strong understanding of health & safety regulations in a rail depot environment Additional Information: 50-hour working week (Monday – Friday, 10-hour shifts) Candidates must have valid medical and drug & alcohol certification to be Completed prior to start. Full depot induction and PPE provided Inside IR35 – PAYE or Umbrella engagement only
