UTEC are looking to hire a Recruiter on a full time, permanent basis. Based at their facility in Aberdeen, the purpose of this role is to manage the recruitment and selection for UTEC offshore and onshore vacancies you are responsible for around the globe. With the aim of ensuring that Acteon has the right people in the right roles at the right time. Your primary duty is to find & hire talented individuals and provide a first-class experience to both candidates, the HR Team & Hiring Managers.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Support Hiring Managers and the HR Team to ensure all relevant information is available & the process is understood at the start of the recruitment process.
* Ensure approval processes are adhered to using APP (Acteon People Portal).
* Responsible for taking a full brief from Hiring Managers & the HR Team to ensure requirements for vacancies are understood.
* Propose & execute a hiring plan in agreement with the Hiring Manager & HR Team.
* Source, attract & engage candidates.
* Coordinate the selection process for all candidates, working with the Hiring Manager & HR Team.
* Fully utilise the best available methods to support selection decisions, including suitability screening, behavioural & competency-based interviewing, psychometric profiling, and ability testing.
* Extend offers to selected candidates, in line with approvals.
* Ensure robust feedback for all candidates.
* Support HR & the Hiring Manager to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
* Promote best practice recruitment processes & systems use.
* Liaise with external recruitment suppliers when required.
* Ensure recruitment process complies with legal requirements and best practice, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
* Maintain and supply metrics relating to offshore recruitment.
Requirements
* Highly computer literate, particularly with relational databases & applicant tracking systems.
* Previous wide-ranging experience of recruiting offshore roles at all levels.
* Experience of 'technical' roles such as engineering, geotechnical roles, offshore roles.
* Strong influencing skills.
* Some experience of sourcing, selection, behavioural & competency interviewing; and assessments.
* Proven organisational skills and the ability to multi-task in a self-driven environment.
* A highly developed customer focus is essential as the experience provided for candidates, HR Business Partners and Hiring Managers is key to success of this role.
* Powerful listening and communication skills with extensive emotional insight.
* Resilience and tenacity will be required to overcome obstacles and setbacks without losing motivation or becoming frustrated.
* Ability to create and build strong relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
* An abundance of initiative and independent thinking is needed, as the incumbent will be expected to learn quickly and without significant guidance and management.
* Good organisational skills, both planning and prioritising, along with an overwhelming drive to deliver results will be required.
