My client, a well established main contractor, is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager with experience in Commercial and Educational new build & refurbishment projects to join them on a permanent basis, covering multiple sites across Reading, Oxford and Buckinghamshire.
Contracts Manager Responsibilities:
1. Preparing tenders for clients and commercial bids to help bring in new business
2. Developing and presenting project proposals
3. Meeting with clients to find out their requirements
4. Producing plans and estimating budgets and timescales
5. Agreeing to and managing budgets and timescales
6. Attending site meetings to monitor progress
7. Acting as the main point of contact for clients, site and project managers
8. Making sure construction projects meet agreed technical standards
9. Liaising with technical and financial staff, sub-contractors, legal teams
10. Ensuring all sites are following Health & Safety best practice and procedures
Contracts Manager Requirements:
11. Proven track record as a Contracts Manager, ideally covering Commercial and builds
12. Ability to manage several sites at once
13. Good understanding of the full construction process from pre-planning to completion
14. Excellent communication skills and strong leadership skills
15. Up to date with Health and Safety best practice and regulations as well as quality control processes
