Sea Viper Systems Design & Verification Engineer
Location: Stevenage
Salary: Up to £57,000 Depending on Experience

Hybrid working pattern: Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working; typically 2 to 3 days per week on site.
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
The Opportunity:
The role of System Design & Verification Engineer is vital to support the delivery of the next phases of the Sea Viper programmes. The role would be reporting to the technical lead for the project and involves engagement with senior partners in delivering the role.
A broad range of responsibilities include:
* Progressing the system design verification and validation activities for the project;
* Supporting the maturation of the qualification strategy;
* Supporting key design reviews;
* Collation of sub-system evidence to support compliance arguments, presentation to internal governance team and customer for sign off;
* Generation of progress metrics and presentation to senior team;
* Identification of key risk areas;
* Opportunities to form relationships, both at a customer interaction level and with industry partners and suppliers;
* Engagement with sub-system design authorities.
What we're looking for:
* Systems engineering background with some awareness and experience of different phases of the CADMID cycle from concept to manufacture, with a focus on demonstration and manufacture phases;
* Awareness of industry standard systems engineering processes;
* Awareness of weapon system design concepts; experience working on air defence systems desirable;
* Ability to produce concise, coherent and detailed technical reports of a high quality;
* Ability to work confidently in the face of ambiguity and multiple conflicting priorities.
