As an Apprentice Wastewater Maintenance Technician, your role will include: Ensure Water Recycling sites operate correctly and reliably to treat water used by customers before safely returning it to the environment. Play a vital role in keeping our assets running effectively and efficiently. Conduct routine inspections and proactive maintenance to prevent issues. Swiftly troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical faults. Operate and testing cutting-edge equipment to optimize performance. Maintain sewer networks to ensure everything flows seamlessly. Focus on compliance with safety protocols and environmental standards. Contribute directly to protecting communities and the environment. What Are We Looking For? A passion for problem-solving and sustainability. GCSEs (Grade A-C or 9-4 in Math, English, and Science) or Level 2 Functional Skills. (please note that predicted grades will be accepted if you have not yet completed your exams) A willingness to work outdoors and take on challenges A growth mindset and a drive to explore, learn, and contribute to a greater purpose. You will attend college on a block release schedule, spending Monday to Thursday there for two weeks at a time, which amounts to eight college days per month. The remaining time will be spent on the job learning, applying your learning and gaining hands-on experience. Your learning journey will also be supported with a minimum of 6 hours per week of off-the-job training. This course usually takes 4 years to complete. (Travel costs to/from college will be covered, in line with our expenses reimbursement policy).
