The Opportunity:The Internal Chemicals & Chromatography Sales Specialist is a key role within VWR UK, responsible for driving revenue and profit growth while achieving EBITDA targets. This position supports the field-based Business Development and Account Management Teams in attaining sales and margin objectives for the VWR UK Chemicals & Chromatography business.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategic plans to increase revenue and profit, aligning with business objectives.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve sales and margin targets.
* Provide expert knowledge of chemicals and chromatography products to customers, identifying opportunities to drive growth.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
* Degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., chemistry, biology) or equivalent experience.
* Proven track record in sales, preferably in the chemicals or life sciences industry.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed business decisions.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum + benefits.
