We’re seeking a Technical Manager to help drive food safety, quality, and compliance within a family-run, ambitious food business. This is your chance to shape processes, lead quality initiatives, and play a key role in achieving BRC certification while fostering a strong food safety culture across the team. The Role This is a hands-on role where your expertise will truly make a difference. From leading food safety initiatives to training the team and managing audits, you’ll ensure everything runs smoothly while making your mark on key projects. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and improve our Food Safety and Quality Management System to meet legal, customer, and industry standards. Lead the charge towards achieving and maintaining BRC certification (your expertise will shine here). Oversee testing schedules, analyse results, and ensure timely corrective actions to keep standards high. Handle customer complaints and non-conformances, implementing effective solutions with root cause analysis. Train production teams, fostering a strong food safety culture and driving continuous improvement. Act as a key point of contact for customers, auditors, and regulatory bodies during visits and reviews. Skills & Experience We Value: Practical experience with BRC certification, HACCP, and advanced food hygiene. Strong problem-solving skills with experience using root cause analysis techniques. A collaborative approach with a knack for training and inspiring teams to excel.
