* Location: East Region - travel to sites based in the North Nottinghamshire, East Lincolnshire, and North Leicestershire
* Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 GROSS plus up to £9,000 bonus target up to 25% paid quarterly and annually)
* 40-hour week Monday - Friday.

As a Mechanical Design Project Engineer you will be responsible for performing the following:
* You will be at the forefront of technical delivery and identifying new technologies that will help the company to grow and diversify our existing portfolio and to generate new revenue streams from our existing sites.
* Lead the project and engineering activities from inception, feasibility, design, and execution whilst meeting challenging obstacles that include timescale and budget constraints. Ideally you will have power generation industry experience.
* Be visible on-site, focused on project execution and technology development.
* Maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
* Degree, HND/HNC qualified, or equivalent, in an Engineering discipline
* Relevant experience in the power generation industry or an industrial engineering sector
* You have project engineering/management experience with a strong technical background.
* You can work with codes of practice and national and international standards.
* You are a strong communicator, self-motivated with a positive attitude, with the ability to work on multiple high-profile projects at once.
* You are delivery focussed, can think logically and critically.
* You have a desire and enthusiasm for learning.
* Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Act as lead on complex and non-routine projects, ensuring an appropriate level of upfront diligence is applied.
* Lead on operational optimisation and the advancement of new technologies covering concept evaluation, feasibility studies, if successful taking through to a pilot project
* Engage with technology suppliers and users to develop opportunities.
* Work with the Project Development team and Operations to identify and support the base business in optimisation opportunities and manage routine projects.
* Ensure scoping of projects takes a lean approach and appropriate challenge is maintained.
* Work closely with the Programme Manager to develop project pipelines with a minimum 12-month view being maintained.
* Maintain effective communication with all external stakeholders and the project team and prepare and present progress reports to senior management team.
* Consult with relevant stakeholders to ensure that standards are clear, and progress is maintained.
* Be accountable for all progress and successful execution of project(s) within predetermined time frames, whilst achieving the quality, performance, and financial measures
Your profile:
