Job summary The Specialist Eating Disorders Service (SEDS, Forward Thinking Birmingham) is seeking to recruit a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist as part of its commitment to continue to provide an outstanding model of care & treatment for the young people (aged 0-25) and families of Birmingham. SEDS are an established, ambitious community eating disorders mental health team. Main duties of the job The post holder will provide specialist CBT interventions and contribute to the assessment, formulation and delivery of evidence-based psychological treatments for young people with eating disorders. As part of an MDT approach the post holder will work collaboratively to develop a formulation-driven understanding of presenting difficulties and needs. Whilst prior experience of working with eating disorders is beneficial, we would be keen to hear from those with transferable CBT skills and knowledge, as within this role there is scope and opportunity to develop. You will receive support, guidance and opportunities for learning and development from within SEDS as well as the wider FTB, Psychological Therapy community/team.
