Mobile HVAC Maintenance Engineer
Rossair Limited specialise in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, mechanical and electrical building services. Rossair are based in Alton, Hampshire and were established in 1973, carrying out HVAC, mechanical and electrical installations & maintenance for 50 years.
We are looking for an HVAC Mobile Mechanical Engineer preferably having worked in the building services industry, with experience to perform reactive and planned maintenance work on air conditioning systems & associated building services equipment.
The ideal candidate would be:
* Literate with a solid technical background
* Able to read and create technical documentation
* Solution orientated, putting customer interests first and providing solutions to their problems
* Confident in taking control of situations and putting customers at ease
* Able to provide quotations to customers on occasion
* Capable of completing relevant paperwork and reports to a high standard
Job Description – Additional Duties
* Planned preventative maintenance and fault finding of air-conditioning systems, generally within commercial office environments
* Replacement of AC component parts, such as compressors, condensers, and PCB boards
* Working with associated HVAC & building services equipment
* An understanding of ventilation plant, pumps, pressurisation units, domestic hot & cold-water systems, and general building controls would be beneficial but not essential
* Documentation such as the completion of F Gas Registers
Location of Work:
* The successful candidate will be covering mostly Hampshire, West Sussex, Surrey, and Berkshire areas along with some work in London

* First and last 30 minutes – engineer's own time

* 37.5 hours per week + overtime

* Weekly call out rota - £120+ min 4hrs (currently 1 in 6 weeks)
Required Skills
* Experience with commercial air conditioning systems
* F-Gas Cert – Cat 1 and ideally Cat 2 but not essential
* NVQ level 2 and preferably 3 but not essential
* At least 5 years working experience as a qualified air conditioning service engineer
* CSCS Cert
* Problem-solving attitude with an eye for detail
* Flexible and positive approach to work
* Open & willing to learn new skills – Chillers etc
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* High standard of workmanship
* PASMA & IPAF would be beneficial but not essential
* Manufacturers training courses would be beneficial but not essential
