The DDGS operator has operational accountability for the animal feed storage area. The overall objective is to operate the area in a safe and efficient manner to meet the production targets set by the business. Key Responsibilities Implementing and maintaining high standards of safety and operation suitable for an upper tier COMAH site. Ensuring optimised continuous production activities. Maintaining target performances and preventing loss of throughput and/or efficiency that might affect commercial profit and loss. Safe operation of mobile and fixed plant Conducting regular checks on machinery and work areas Monitoring all visiting Hauliers - including PPE compliance FEMAS compliance - Conducting inspections on transport vehicles Maintain effective records of activity and produce reports as required Provide agreed performance/activity data Additional Information Ensure daily inspection of machine and storage area are completed Ensure day to day maintenance of machine is performed to include greasing and cleaning Maintain and inspect any vehicle attachments Recording and reporting on a daily check sheet including hours and any defects found Adherence to correct start up and shut down procedures of the machines in use Ensure all operations are carried out according to operating procedures Record moisture and temperature of stored products Ensure PPE is always worn Responsible for the removal of all waste and maintaining the shed cleanliness. Assist the operations shift staff with activities required to maintain and operate the plant. This could include managing plant consumable deliveries and offtakes, plant cleaning, greasing and basic maintenance etc General housekeeping of the area (sweeping etc) Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience, plus £1350 shift allowance, plus 10% benefits package.
